RAD has an extensive portfolio of access products for Ethernet video transport over fiber, copper and wireless links. The devices support transport of compressed IP video images from Ethernet video surveillance cameras.
For point-to-point Ethernet video transport over xDSL in the airport campus, the ASMi-54 G.SHDSL.bis modem, using multi-pair bonding technology, provides up to 22.8 Mbps of bandwidth on 8-wire. The modem transports data up to a range of 2.9 km (1.825 miles).
The ADSL-52L SHDSL Ethernet Modem supports data rates between 64 kbps and 4608 kbps, offering up to 2.3 Mbps over 2-wire and 4.6 Mbps over 4-wire. The modem has a four-port 10/100BaseT with an integrated switch for cost-effective Ethernet video transport.
The Airmux-200 wireless broadband multiplexer is an ideal solution for point-to-point or multi point-to-point connectivity of CCTVs situated large distances from the main terminal or in other remote locations, including public transportation terminals and conduits and parking areas in the airport vicinity. The Airmux-200, combining Ethernet and E1/T1, transmits real-time video and data from a remote location to an organization’s central security office at a distance of up to 80km/50miles.
For transport of Ethernet video streams over airport fiber infrastructure, RAD’s Optimux-106 and Optimux-108 E1 and T1 Ethernet Optical Multiplexer provide point-to-point and point-to-multipoint transport for 100 Mbps Ethernet and 4 E1/T1 traffic over a fiber optic link.
The FCD-IP access unit with integrated router transfers CCTV streams on Ethernet over a single E1 or T1 access line, with the capacity to bundle multiple services.
The TinyBridge-100 is a high-performance, remote Ethernet bridge/extender, transporting traffic up to 1,300 meters over four-wire copper lines. Featuring simple plug-and-play operation, its small size and low cost make it ideal for cost-sensitive bridging applications or as a LAN extender over bit stream-type infrastructures.
