What Qualifications Are Needed To Become A Flight Attendant ?

Airlines have minimum requirements to even be considered for positions and candidates with special skills are preferred over others with minimal skills. Here is a list of things required by most airlines and some skills that will move you ahead of other candidates:
Minimum requirements:
18 to 21 years up to 55
High school diploma
English speaking
US citizen or legal resident alien
Willing to relocate
Neat, attractive appearance
No visible tattoos or piercings
Height/weight proportionate
Certain airlines may have height minimum
History of good health
Preferred skills or abilities:
Customer service training or experience
Some airlines prefer college degrees
Experience in a retail clothing store, waiting tables in a restaurant,
answering telephones in an office count as customer service related.
Fluency in other languages
Ability to acquire a passport for International travel
If offered a position, the company will perform a background check and physical examination and schedule you through a company-paid training program.
