Fiber Ring Connectivity for Secure Ground Communications
Connect PBXs serving airline customer service, reservations and customer relations departments to a central PBX over a resilient T3 or 45 Mbps fiber ring with support for mission-critical applications.
Deploy RAD’s Optimux-45 M13 multiplexer for transporting multiple E1 or T1 trunks, as well as a combination of T1 and E1 (according to ITU G.747), over a standard 45 Mbps electrical signal or fiber link. The solution features internal cross-connect capabilities and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
When deployed in a ring application, the Optimux-45 multiplexer provides a complete path protection mechanism that prevents service failure, even if a fiber link is damaged or disconnected.
The solution can also be deployed for airport needs in a point-to-point application over wireless or satellite links.
